CASA BRISA DO MAR
The name of the house means breath of the ocean. Due to its geological situation, located nearby the city of Portimão, downhill of the plot crosses the Arade river into the Atlantic Ocean. This property is located on the south banks of the river Arade in an environment protected area near Silves, named Arrochela. The word Arrochela comes from the elder Moorish times, by meaning the hill area is a fortress point to defend the city of Silves for invaders coming over the river. The surroundings of this property is breathtaking due to the variation of the existing nature features such as the wildlife, the un spoilt rough hills, the various sweet water streams and the stunning free views from the property out facing to west side with amazing sunset. An existing old small farmhouse turned into a concept based on a total renovation and transformation to a comfortable holiday house. The respect for the existing elements was combined with a specific minimalistic architecture. We only could say, let the view speak for itself, let the overwhelming nature come inside and blend it all to a mixture of comfort on which we can say: Less is More… …
