Svetlana Kuliskova is an artist and designer, dealing with decoration of interior design with her tapestries (unique pieces) made from wool or various textile recovery, creates fabrics for her chairs or armchairs chairs in limited edition. Shev draw also other furniture complement such as handmade carpets and lamps.
Svetlana Kuliskova was born in the Czech Republic. After graduating from the Fashion institute SPST Brno, specializing in design of clothing and costumes, she worked at the atelier Art Protis, where he began to create modern non woven tapestries according to a specific technology covered by copyright. She partecipated with the studio of the realization of a large tapestry for the EXPO in Osaka in 1990. From that yaer participates in group exhibitions, solo exhibitions and projects.
In 1998 she graduated in Visual Arts at the FaVU of University VUT Brno in the atelier of Tomas Ruller: in Videoart, multimedia, and performances, and her video and installations was involved in several national and international festivals and exhibitions. From 1998 she began to travel extensively in Italy.
Since 2006, returns to create tapestries Art Protis and develops new projects in art, fashion and design. In 2008 was included in the 15 finalists of the international competition Targetti Light Art Award, chosen from among 3000 projects arrived, with "Heart Incorporeal," one of her light works created with plexiglass and wool.
In 2010 she began collaborating with Dyloan Studio in Milan on the development of the project Arakne Non Woven, an innovative fabric, introdused in the field of fashion, based on the twenty years of Svetlana's knowledge of technique Art Protis. During the last years she developed deep interest in the reuse of existing textile materials to test its untapped potential as well as for the ecological instance.
In 2011 she created her first collection of handmade carpets that were produced in India according to an ancient technique and continuing to decorate privat houses and public spaces with her taperstries and other artworks and design like chair with her Arakne fabrics.
