A combination of painted cupboards, oiled oak work surfaces and characterful oak panelling brought together the illusion of space and warmth in this small space, giving the kitchen a cottage-like feel.

We built this kitchen for a young professional couple that had just bought their first property together. They had dreams of a timeless and stylish kitchen where they could come together in the evenings and on the weekends to bake, cook and spend time, yet were challenged by a very small space and limited budget. A combination of painted cupboards, oiled Oak work surfaces and exposed characterful oak panelling brought together the illusion of space, whilst giving the kitchen a cottage like feel. Multiple small drawers; wall cupboards, a butler sink and ceiling wine racks were all fitted along with the other standard kitchen features and yet still there was room for a small dining area.
