DIY mould
works as a game where steel sticks with different heights can be displayed in different positions allowing the creation of
multiple shapes with a single mould. It challenges the conventional
static moulds that can’t be changed and motivates a creative input
during the glassblowing process.
It is all made in steel in order to create the compositions when the steel is cold and preheat the whole mould just before starting to blow the glass. The specific holes pattern allows the creation of different geometric shapes as well as more random organic ones. The mould itself is like the glassblowing process: playful and dynamic.
